SWAYAM January 2024 Semester Exam Scheduled for May 25 Postponed; Revised Dates Inside

In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the examination date for the Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) January 2024 semester examination.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the examination date for the Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) January 2024 semester examination. “In continuation to Public Notice dated 06 October 2023, it is hereby informed that due to elections in few states of India the SWAYAM January 2024 Semester Exam scheduled on 25th May 2024 will now be conducted on 27th May 2024,” NTA in an official notice said.

SWAYAM is a programme initiated by Government of India and designed to achieve the three cardinal principles of Education Policy viz., access, equity, and quality. The objective of this effort is to take the best teaching learning resources to all, including the most disadvantaged. SWAYAM seeks to bridge the digital divide for students who have hitherto remained untouched by the digital revolution and have not been able to join the mainstream of the knowledge economy.

Eligibility Criteria for SWAYAM 2024 (January Semester)

The student/learner who has enrolled in any of the 456 courses in the January, 2024 semester is eligible for appearing in the examination of that course. Shift-wise and course-wise examination schedule is given at Annexure-. The students, who obtained 40% marks in term end written test conducted by NTA and 40% marks in internal assessment separately, will be eligible for certificate and credit transfer.

Marking Scheme:

i) Un-answered/un-attempted will be given no marks.

ii) To answer a MCQ, the candidate needs to choose one option as correct option/most appropriate option.

iii) In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates who have attempted it.

iv) In case of any ambiguity in translation/construction of a question in the exam, its English version shall be treated as final and the decision of NTA shall be final in this regard.
