Madhu Mantena was supposed to produce the movie but he backed out due to financial issues.However, in a public notice issued through trade channels, Mantena disclosed that discussions with Prime Focus Technologies to transfer these rights have not materialised into a formal agreement. He said that he still holds the IP (Intellectual Property) rights of the film.
