The efficacy of these dry, aerated substances lies in their ability to create a microclimate conducive to apple preservation. 

By minimising moisture and regulating airflow, they help prevent the buildup of mould and decay, extending the lifespan of the fruit significantly.

Furthermore, the choice of packing material plays a crucial role in preserving the quality of the apples. 

Opting for high-quality, fresh apples free from blemishes or damage ensures optimal results.
