Anupamaa serial: It’s extremely rare for an actor to enter a show midway and become as popular amongst the fans as the lead actor of the TV show. However, in Gaurav Khanna‘s case, the exact same thing happened. Gaurav entered the Rajan Shahi show after the show had already completed a year or more, portraying Anuj Kapadia. The story had already evolved, and fans already had their favorite characters. Ironically, when Gaurav entered, his character Anuj became so popular that even today, after Anu, any character that receives maximum appreciation is that of Anuj’s. In a recent interview, Gaurav Khanna revealed that when he was all set to enter Anupamaa, a lot of people asked how he would manage to make his place in the show, as the rest of the actors were already excelling in their respective characters. Anupamaa serial: Gaurav Khanna reveals what helped him make a mark in the Rajan Shahi show

In an interview with Aaj Tak, Gaurav Khanna stated that there’s one mantra which he believes in and always follows. In fact, he has often told his co-stars Nidhi Shah, Asmi Deo, and others to follow the same thing. He revealed that as an actor, no matter if you are shooting with a big star or a big crew, you always have to make sure that you have to excel. The actor further added that when he entered Anupamaa, a lot of people asked him how he would manage to make a place for himself among the multi-star cast. Gaurav stated that back then and even today, as soon as the director says action, he forgets that he is Gaurav, and until the director doesn’t say cut, he, in all senses, is Anuj. Gaurav stated that immersing totally into the character and forgetting oneself when the camera is rolling has helped him to do wonders with the character.
