NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is anticipated to release the results of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for the January 2024 session by the conclusion of this month.
The release of the answer key marks an initial step in the process. Following this, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to provide the CBSE CTET results, along with the final answer key and cutoff marks, in the imminent future.
The CTET 2024 examination took place on January 21, 2024, and subsequently, on February 7, the scanned images of the OMR Answer Sheets of candidates, along with the Answer Keys, were made available. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) allotted a three-day period until February 10 for candidates to raise objections against the provisional key. Following this, the CTET final answer key and results will be formulated based on valid objections raised during this period.
As of the present moment, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has yet to announce the official date for the declaration of the CTET results. However, based on past trends and information from officials, candidates can anticipate the release of the CTET January results for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 by the conclusion of February 2024. It is estimated that over 12 lakh candidates have participated in the examination this year.
For CTET 2024, the passing marks are determined based on different categories. Candidates belonging to the General category must secure a minimum qualifying percentage of 60%, equivalent to obtaining 90 out of 150 marks. Similarly, for OBC candidates, the passing percentage is set at 55%, requiring a score of 82 out of 150. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), the passing percentage remains the same at 55%, with a target of 82 out of 150 marks.
