ASUS ROG Phone 8 series leaked online 

A new leak by Windows Report reveals the full design of the ROG Phone 8 series, and its colour options as well. The leak also includes the full specs sheet for the upcoming ROG phones. These aren’t official details though so take this with a pinch of salt.

According to the leaked renders, the ROG Phone 8 series will come in three colour options: Black, Light Grey and Dark Grey. It’s a dual-tone colour design this time on all three variants. The camera module has gone through a change this time. The new camera module is square-shaped with the bottom right edge slightly cut off.

The ROG Phone 7 series features a horizontally aligned camera module that runs through the top of the phone. The report suggests that the ROG Phone 8 will come in a matte, grippy finish, while the Pro model will offer a more glossy and premium feel.

  • Display: Asus ROG Phone 8 and Phone 8 Pro will both feature a 6.78-inch FHD+ SAMSUNG Flexible AMOLED display, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. More features include HDR10 support, LTPO, and a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. 
  • Processor: Both phones will also be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. 
  • RAM and storage: The ROG Phone 8 is said to pack up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. As for the Pro model, it will come with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
  • Cameras: There are no details about the ROG Phone 8 but the Pro model will come with a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 32MP camera with 3X optical zoom, and a 32MP front camera. 
  • Battery, charging: Both phones are said to pack a 5,500mAh battery with Quick Charge 5.0 and PD Charging. 
  • Software: On the software front, the ROG Phone 8 series will run Android 14 with ROG UI. 
  • Other features: The ROG Phone 8 series is also said to come with NFC, IP68 rating, WiFi 6/6E, and Bluetooth 5.3.
