5 must-try new menus and places to eat and drink in Hong Kong this weekend, October 11-13

Are you ready for another long weekend of dining? With the Chung Yeung Festival – a public holiday when people visit the graves of their relatives – falling on Friday, there is even more time to spend out and about checking out the latest new openings and menus around Hong Kong.

It is the perfect time too, with cooler and drier weather arriving, new menus launching and newly minted restaurants around the city to try.

1. Moo Lah by Born & Bred

A few months back, fans of South Korean hanwoo beef specialists Born & Bred spotted hoardings going up in Central, on Hong Kong Island, that promised “better beef”.
The hoardings have now been removed to reveal Moo Lah, which has soft-launched this week with a menu comprising familiar Hong Kong favourites made with premium hanwoo – think beef brisket noodles, beef curry and more. The Central bar has unveiled its latest cocktail series, titled Texture, featuring seven drinks that represent the tactile nature of items such as cotton, silk and wax.
