WWE is continuing its trend of holding non-Big Four PLEs outside of the United States with Backlash France. “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes makes his first PLE title defense as Undisputed WWE Champion against AJ Styles, and three other titles will be on the line as well.

Randy Orton and Kevin Owens vs. Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga
Patrick: WWE has been presenting Tama Tonga as a straight-up killer and I don’t see that changing any time soon. This new Bloodline needs to really sell its viciousness to separate it from the way Roman did things.
Winners: Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga
Shane: It doesn’t make sense to build this new version of the Bloodline up with Solo in charge just to turn around and have them lose their first match. Seems extremely counterproductive to me.

Kabuki Warriors (c) vs. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
Patrick: After IYO lost her title at WrestleMania t’s probably time for Damage CTRL to lose their remaining titles. The Jade Cargill hype train is in full swing, and we’re not getting off of it for a long time.
Winners: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill
Shane: This one feels almost too easy… Jade and Bianca win. Then who knows what the champs will do with the straps before inevitably breaking up.

Bayley (c) vs. Naomi vs. Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship
Patrick: This will be a showcase for Tiffany Stratton, but I don’t think it’s quite her time yet, and more importantly it’s far too early for Bayley to lose the title she just won at Mania. Bayley should hold the title until at least SummerSlam.
Winner: Bayley
Shane: I’m beginning to feel like this PLE is going to be one of those extremely predictable shows. Much like the previous two matches, Bayley winning just seems like the right call to make. Both Naomi and Tiff Strats are extremely talented, and I have a feeling Stratton will be a champion of some sort sooner rather than later. However, it won’t be Tiffy Time come Saturday, at least not yet.
Winner: Bayley
Damian Priest (c) vs. Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship
Patrick: This will be a fun match, but a relatively easy defense for Damian Priest. Between the Bloodline and the Judgment Day, this is not going to be a cleanly contested match at all, but in the chaos, the Archer of Infamy will come away with it.
Winner: Damian Priest
Shane: Damian will retain because the Solo-led Bloodline will get involved somehow to screw Jey. Jimmy will return (eventually, maybe not this soon, but eventually) to save Jey from a beatdown, reunite with his twin brother, rejoin the tag division, and we can all move on from the failed attempt to make both Usos singles stars.
Winner: Damian Priest
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. AJ Styles for the Undisputed WWE Championship
Patrick: AJ just isn’t really doing it for me anymore. This new brooding character is just kind of bland, the new theme song is def rebel in a nutshell, and there just isn’t much to sink your teeth into. Of course, he’s still one of the best wrestlers in the world, so this match should be a banger, but there is no chance the American Nightmare loses.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
Shane: While I’m sure the match itself will be good, this is nothing more than a token title defense for a lengthy Cody Rhodes championship reign.
