Tesco has made chocolate lovers very happy by stocking a new decadent treat across all outlets in the UK.
Shoppers went into a frenzy after it emerged Swiss chocolatier Lindt unveiled a “lush” new flavour of its iconic Lindor chocolates.
Lindt is known for its diverse flavours and appealing packaging, which also contribute to its top-of-the-range prices.
This debut follows a series of new chocolate releases, such as Cadbury’s Iced Latte Twirl and the return of the Cadbury Top Deck, which had been discontinued for more than twenty years.
Those with a sweet tooth have become so obsessed with the new release that they’re vowing to fill their trolleys with the new offering.
The Pistachio Lindt Lindor Chocolates have now been spotted in Tesco stores for the first time.
Encased in a shiny emerald green wrapping paper, these chocolates feature a “melting” and “irresistible” pistachio filling surrounded by a “crunchy shell of milk chocolate”.
But some would argue, the new chocolates come at a premium price, costing £6.30 for a 200g box.
Lindt issued a notice, attributing its increased prices to rising costs of packaging, transportation, and staff salaries.
Hundreds of sweet treat enthusiasts quickly took to the comments section of Tesco’s announcement on Instagram to share the news with friends and family.
One user went as far as to say they would “fill up the trolley” with the chocolates, while another enthusiastically stated: “I’m gonna look out for these. I bet they are lovely.” (sic)
Another fan echoed the sentiment, typing: “I did a little dance when I spotted them this morning in my Tesco. My absolute favourite flavour.”
A third user said: “Oh, I would be delighted with a box of these!” While a fourth simply commented: “These are lush.”
