West Bengal State Secretary Mohammed Salim lashes out at Trinamool Supremo Mamata Banerjee

Ahead of Lok Sabha 2024 polls, giving a clarion call to “Save Bengal” from Trinamool Congress, West Bengal State Secretary Mohammed Salim lashed out at Trinamool Supremo Mamata Banerjee for her “alleged proximity” with BJP and attempts to save her own family.

Salim said on Sunday that Banerjee only cares about her family members and nephew, not about her party workers or the state. “Her only aim is to save her family, not the people of Bengal,” Salim said at a mega rally organized by the CPI-M youth brigade in the iconic Brigade Parade ground on Sunday, trying to give a boost to the party’s organization in the state.

The 50-day long “Insaaf Yatra” (Yatra for Justice) led by young leaders of CPI-M culminated in the mega rally today.

Ahead of Lok Sabha polls, giving Talking about the ongoing scams in PDS, recruitment and education sectors, Salim said “Partha Chatterjee, Anubrata Mondal and Jyotipriya Mullick–Trinamool ministers and leaders are is jail. Drama is at its peak now. The Supreme Court, Calcutta High Court and all other benches have refused protection to the nephew (Abhishek Baneree). So now Mamata Banerjee, claiming she is going to Delhi for 100days work, actually went to meet PM and save her nephew.”

“Mamata Banerjee is one lady who is bothered about her nephew, nephew’s wife, her brothers and sister-in-law,” he said comparing Banerjee to “Shakuni” in Mahabharata.

Salim said, “During G-20 meet in New Delhi, Banerjee went to New Delhi and attended the dinner party. Recently she went to New Delhi for MGNREGA dues but actually went to save her nephew.”
“In order to save Bengal, our culture, our history, education and we have to fight,” Salim said adding people must vote for CPI-M. “We don’t need Delhi, our Bengal’s youth is enough to save the state…During our “Insaaf Yatra”, those who helped us to walk forward, I thank them all. The fight for justice will continue from here.”

Urging people to vote for CPI-M in the coming Lok Sabha polls he said, “People will start coming to Bengal now ahead of the election. There are many players in the field. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the biggest player…Mamata Banerjee, helicopters and chartered flights. They will all try to confuse you before Lok Sabha polls. But vote for CPI-M only,” Salim said.

The CPI-M leader also took a dig at West Bengal Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, claiming COngress leaders of Delhi are hobnobbing with Mamata Banerjee.
