We’re all border states now

As I gazed at unvetted foreign migrants camped out on the Logan Airport terminal floor, I couldn’t help but think that every state really is a border state.

It’s no longer a conservative talking point; it’s the reality of Biden’s America. These young men and some families had only days before crossed the Southern Border on a red carpet rolled out by our federal government.

A federal government uninterested in Massachusetts’ crumbling state budget, and our Tower of Babel public classrooms. A federal government uninterested in an already overtaxed bunch of “deplorables,” unable or unwilling to move north to New Hampshire or south to Florida.

Many, if not most, border crossers do so with no documentation, no health vetting, and no screening for criminal or terrorist backgrounds. Blank slates are apparently easier for immigration attorneys to remold later to appease a corrupted process.

Blank slates so that Biden’s Secretary of Invasion, Alejandro Mayorkas, can stamp each violator of our border as a “refugee” or “asylum seeker” and hand them a court slip for 2027 to sort out their legal status while residing and working in America.  I say residing in America because there is something temporary, contrived, and fake about this massive wave of newcomers marching across Central and South America, spurned not by a great famine but herded by a great push from taxpayer-funded nonprofits.

Then there are the Chinese, Russians, Indians, Syrians, Nepalese, Africans, et al, flying into Mexico City on tourist visas and taking cartel cabs and buses to the border. They jump in line next to the caravan hikers and train riders. All these invaders in a rush to beat the Trump clock.

Donald Trump has promised to “seal the border” as soon as his hand comes off the Bible from taking the presidential oath.

Trump’s commitment to the American people will see him interrupt the historic ceremony to make the call and give the order. What could be a more fitting spectacle of leadership to restore a weary nation? Half the world and a majority of Iowa and New Hampshire GOP voters believe him. I certainly do.

According to the Center for Security Policy, last week 10 former FBI executives warned Congress of “an invasion” that has taken place since 2021 by large numbers of unaccompanied, military-age men from China, Russia, and “terror-linked regions.”

If we are going to keep unvetted illegal immigrants at the same airport that welcomed the 9/11 terrorists, let’s have the decency to print up some new T-shirts with a slogan that accurately reflects our complacency.  Hashtag Boston weak.
