Kolkata: Leaders across the party lines have wished a speedy recovery to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who sustained a ‘major injury’ on March 14. Mamata Banerjee sustained injuries on her forehead and was hospitalized, according to the Trinamool Congress. Speaking on the same, West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose interacted with the media after meeting with Mamata Banerjee and said that the Chief Minister is getting the best medical treatment and that everything is under control. Speaking on the same, Dr Manimoy Bandopadhyay, Director of SSKM Hospital spoke to the media and informed, “Three stitches were applied on the forehead and one on the nose and the required dressing was done. Investigations like ECG, CT scan, etc were done. Medical personnel have provided their opinion in these regards. She was advised to remain admitted for observation, but she preferred to go home. She will continue to be under close watch and will continue to have the treatment as per the advice of the team of doctors. She will again be assessed tomorrow and subsequent treatment will be decided accordingly.”
