New Delhi: Lucknow boy Aditya Srivastava has been in the news for achieving a great feat, by securing the first rank in the Civil Services Examination 2023, which was revealed after the announcement of the UPSC CSE Results 2023. This was not the first time that Aditya appeared for the civil services; last year too, Aditya Srivastava appeared for the competitive examination, secured 236th rank and became an IPS officer. He is currently undergoing training in Hyderabad when the result for his second attempt were announced on April 16, 2024. As mentioned earlier, Aditya Srivastava has appeared for the Civil Services twice and both times, he has received a good rank. While speaking at a college event in Lucknow earlier, Aditya shared the secret success mantra shared with him by his father, that has always stayed with him and has been his source of motivation. The mantra as quoted by Aditya Srivastava in an Economic Times report is, “Today’s labour will give you lifelong happiness not just to you but also to other people, not just your family.”

During this same event, Aditya Srivastava also shared some times to crack UPSC, which is believed to be one of the toughest competitive examinations in the world. He motivated the aspirants to work towards their aim and not waste any time; as quoted in the ET report, he said, “if you relax now… you waste today’s time… then it will be difficult to succeed in today’s ultra-competitive environment.” He further said, “If we make the same mistake again and again we cannot make progress… we should rectify the mistakes; your dream will provide you the energy towards your goal.” Aditya also made the aspirants realise how tough competition is; he said, “Today the competition is very tough. If you don’t do something extra… you cannot succeed.”

Aditya Srivastava is in the news after the UPSC CSE Results 2023 were announced because he is the topper; Aditya Srivastava has secured the first rank in the UPSC CSE 2023. Aditya Srivastava is a resident of Bhitauli, Lucknow and his roll number was 2629523; the UPSC Topper’s optional subject was Electrical Engineering. Speaking of Aditya Srivastava’s educational qualifications, he did his schooling from CMS Aliganj in Lucknow and then earned a BTech degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT Kanpur). This is not Aditya Srivastava’s first attempt, he also gave the UPSC Exam last year and secured the 236th rank. Aditya Srivastava is already an IPS Officer and is undergoing training.
