If you’re unclear about your SASSA SRD grant status, the following terms below could help you understand what’s going on and what you should do next:

1. COMPLETE

This means SASSA has received your SRD grant application, but has not approved your application yet, however there is nothing more you need to do.

2. PENDING

SASSA is in the process of verifying your application for that particular month and there is no further action you need to take.

3. APPROVED

Congratulations, this means SASSA has accepted and approved your grant application for the month. You should also be able to see your payment date for that particular month. You can click on the link below to see the dates for 2024, too.

4. BANK DETAILS PENDING

If SASSA has your application and approved it but does not have banking details or a chosen payment method, you need to update this. You can submit your banking details to rectify your SASSA SRD grant status HERE.

5. REAPPLICATION PENDING

If you see this message, it means SASSA has not received your reapplication. You will need to submit your application for the SRD grant here.

6. DECLINED

Unfortunately, this is pretty self-explanatory. It means SASSA has declined your application for the month because you did not meet all the criteria. The reason why your SASSA SRD grant status is listed as declined will be given to you.

7. CANCELLED
