Does your pet have a secret talent or crowd-pleasing skill? TBS is looking for animals to feature on a new show with an in-person opportunity to impress coming to Colorado.
“Stupid Pet Tricks” is a new concept based on an old segment from “The David Letterman Show.” Hosted by comedian Sarah Silverman, the half-hour variety show promises “all the original charm, silly fun, and appreciation for the bond between humans and their animal friends,” according to an announcement.
The show is embarking – emphasis on “bark” – on a nationwide brewery tour in search of talented animals to film and feature. It comes to Oskar Blues Brewery in Longmont (1640 S. Sunset St.) on Feb. 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. The event is free to attend and features a pink carpet where locals and companions can strike a pose and show off their best tricks. There will also be giveaways and, of course, beer.
To clarify, this is not an audition to be on “Stupid Pet Tricks,” but rather an opportunity to film a clip that may air during the show. Anyone can also enter to be featured by posting a video on Instagram or TikTok with the hashtag #StupidPetTicks. Don’t forget to tag @TBSnetwork.
“Stupid Pet Tricks” premieres Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. on TBS.
The tour also stops at Cigar City Brewing in Tampa on Feb. 3; Deep Ellum Brewing Co. in Dallas on Feb. 7; Meanwhile Brewing Co. in Austin on Feb. 10; and Oskar Blues Brewery in Brevard, N.C. on Feb. 17. Most of those breweries are owned by the Canarchy Brewery Collective, which was in turn, founded in Longmont by Oskar Blues — and is now owned by Monster Energy.
