The fun characters of Mr and Mrs. Smith is all set to return but this time it will be our small screens. The iconic roles essayed by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will now make a comeback as a web-series which will feature Donald Glover and Maya Erskine in lead roles. Amid reports of the new season, Prime Video has unveiled the new promo of the same on December 8.

In this version of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, two lonely strangers land jobs working for a mysterious spy agency that offers them a glorious life of espionage, wealth, world travel, and a dream brownstone in Manhattan. The catch? New identities in an arranged marriage as Mr. and Mrs. John and Jane Smith. Now hitched, John and Jane navigate a high-risk mission every week while also facing a new relationship milestone. Their complex cover story becomes even more complicated when they catch real feelings for each other. What’s riskier: espionage or marriage?
Created by Francesca Sloane, who is also the showrunner, along with Donald Glover, the series will also feature Alexander Skarsgård, Eiza González, Sarah Paulson, Sharon Horgan, Ron Perlman, Billy Campbell, Úrsula Corberó, Paul Dano, Michaela Coel, John Turturro, Parker Posey, Wagner Moura, among others in key roles. The romantic action drama is expected to premiere February 2, 2024 on Prime Video and will be a binge release with all the eight episodes releasing on the same day in India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
