Tiger Woods, the five-time Masters champion, shot a second-round even-par 72 at Augusta National on Friday, making a record 24th consecutive cut at the Masters.
Woods finished at 1-over-par for the first two rounds, putting him in a tie for 27th at the end of his round. The top 50, plus ties, will make the cut.
Woods surpassed Fred Couples and Gary Player by making a 24th consecutive cut.

Woods, 48, had to play 23 holes on Friday after his first round was suspended Thursday through 13 holes due to darkness, Woods completed it early Friday morning, shooting an opening-round 73.
During his second round, Woods shot a front-nine score of even-par 36. He recorded three birdies, three bogeys and three pars on the first nine. One of his birdies was a chip-in from off the green on the par-3 6th hole.

The back nine started with four straight pars for Woods. On holes 10 and 11, Woods drained medium-length par putts to keep him at 1-over-par. Even after a bogey at 14, Woods responded with a birdie, after he blasted his second shot 25 feet from the pin for an eagle. The 15-time major champion made three pars on holes 16 through 18 to shoot even par.
“This golf course will expose any weakness that you have,” Woods said. “The greens, they’re quick right now, and this wind is all over the place. We had to play a lot of wind on putts, chip shots, anything that gets in the air. It was a great test.”
Per Justin Ray, this was only the second time Woods hit 11 or more fairways in each of his first two rounds at the Masters, the first occurring in 1999.
Woods had played just 24 holes of tournament golf this year before the Masters. He entered this week having not played 72 holes in an official tournament competition since February 2023.
