Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday reacted to JD(S) MP from Hassan Prajwal Revanna’s ‘sex tape’ controversy saying it “cannot be tolerated”. The Home Minister further slammed the ruling Congress party in Karnataka for not taking action in the case so far.

“This cannot be tolerated. BJP’s stand is clear – we stand with ‘Nari Shakti’,” he said.

Shah also raised questions on the timing of the leak of the purported explicit videos allegedly involving the Hassan MP. Video clips allegedly showing JDS chief and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda’s grandson Prajwal Revanna indulging in sexual acts with several women including a few government employees circulated in the Hassan district, following which, the Karnataka State Commission for Women asked the chief minister to set up a special investigation team.

The development came a day after voting took place in the constituency on April 26.

Prajwal Revnna is the grandson of JD(S) chief and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda’s grandson. JD(S) is a part of the NDA alliance in the state.
