Third Eye: Pendulum politicians, uploading fraud deets, stance change hasn’t helped

With Maharashtra always in realignment mode, there is no surety on rivals. Many who were rivals in previous polls are now supporting each other this time. A joke doing the rounds in state political circles is that losers may join a different party at the time of the assembly polls later this year.

Stance change hasn’t helped
Congress circles are amused at ex-MP Sandeep Dikshit’s plight. Former CM Sheila Dikshit’s son has been TV channels’ go to man for a quote against the Kejriwal government and AAP for many years. Yet, Dikshit tactically silenced his anti-Kejriwal/AAP quotes when Congress inked pact with the rival. His supportive posture vis-a-vis AAP was seen by party circles in the contest of his bid for a seat either from Chandni Chowk or North-East Delhi. After he lost out to JP Aggarwal and Kanhaiya Kumar, party circles said it was a classic case of him losing the voice against his mother’s electoral tormentors, AAP, and yet getting his ticket aspirations nixed by his own party.

Uploading fraud deets
To counter cyber scams, the Ministry of Home Affairs-run Indian Cyber Crime Coordination has started publishing daily digest on such frauds. The digest compiles daily newspaper reports and uploads them on its website to create awareness. Besides reports from English and Hindi dailies, the digest has details about frauds reported on web portals.
