Get ready for a thrilling mystery in a galaxy far, far away! In celebration of May the 4th, Disney+ unveiled a brand new trailer and poster for their highly anticipated Star Wars series, The Acolyte. Mark your calendars, because the live-action adventure launches on Tuesday, June 4th, with a two-episode premiere exclusively on the streaming service.

The Acolyte plunges viewers into a suspenseful investigation led by a respected Jedi Master (played by Lee Jung Jae). A shocking crime spree forces him to confront a dangerous warrior from his past, played by rising star Amandla Stenberg. As the investigation unfolds and more clues surface, their pursuit of the truth takes them down a dark path. Sinister forces emerge, revealing that everything is not as it seems.
The series boasts an impressive cast, including Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung Jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and the legendary Carrie-Anne Moss.
Leslye Headland, known for her work on the acclaimed series Russian Doll, created The Acolyte. She also serves as an executive producer alongside Star Wars veterans Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King, and Jason Micallef. Charmaine DeGraté and Kor Adana join the team as co-executive producers. Rayne Roberts, Damian Anderson, Eileen Shim, and Rob Bredow round out the production team.
Adding to the excitement, Headland takes the helm for the series premiere, directing the first two episodes. Directors Kogonada, Alex Garcia Lopez, and Hanelle Culpepper round out the directing duties for the remaining episodes.
Award-winning composer Michael Abels, known for his chilling scores in films like Get Out and Us, brings his musical expertise to The Acolyte, further amping up the suspense for viewers.
The wait is almost over as the series premieres on June 4th!
