Alleged OnePlus 13 mockup render presents a new yet old design

OnePlus 13 mockup render: design

  • In this supposed OnePlus 13 design (as seen on Weibo), the phone’s rear side features a squircle camera island. This isn’t merged into the side frame like the OnePlus 10 Pro.
  • There are 4 cutouts in the camera island, but only 3 camera lenses and one flashlight module.
  • Within this island, there’s a Hasselblad branding too, which indicates special colour tuning.
  • We don’t see a OnePlus logo here, probably because it’s a mockup.
  • We can also see its volume rockers and power button on the right side and alert slider on the left.
  • The edges of the phone appear slightly curved from this rear view. The edges may not have a stainless steel hinge either.

This new (yet old) design is different from the phone’s look on a leaked render in March. That one has a vertical camera island with a bigger bulge in the middle. This bigger lens has a green ring around it. But, that rear camera setup also doesn’t scream new and premium. Rather, it looks similar to a OnePlus Nord CE4.

OnePlus 13 expected specifications, release date

  • OnePlus 13 could launch in December with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. This chip could be based on TSMC’s 3nm process and clock a maximum of 4.0GHz frequency. In comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 can hit only 3.39GHz. The chip could come out in October 2024.
  • The phone is also tipped to sport a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED screen with 2K resolution, and an under-display fingerprint reader.

Needless to say, most of these details are based on rumours and leaks, so, please take them with a pinch of salt. And so it’s too early to be sure about the OnePlus 13 design as well.
