A TRIO of teenagers have been charged in connection with the alleged “stabbing” of a 15-year-old boy.
Emergency services scrambled to Dumbarton Central railway station shortly before 8pm on Thursday, April 4.
The 15-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted and stabbed during the alleged attack.
Cops confirmed the teen was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.
Three 15-year-old have since been cautioned and charged with serious assault.
One of the boys has also been charged with possession of a bladed article and another with possession of an offensive weapon.
The group was spotted running into the station towards platforms two and three.
Cops have since appealed for eyewitnesses to come forward.
Police Scotland said: “Shortly before 8pm on Thursday 4 April, a group of teenagers were seen running into the station towards platforms 2 and 3.
“The 15-year-old boy was then allegedly assaulted and sustained injuries consistent with being stabbed. He was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.
