Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh was expected to return to Mumbai from Delhi but did not arrive in the city.
Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Gurucharan Singh, who is known for his role of Sodhi has gone missing. A few days back, Singh flew to Delhi in order to celebrate his father’s birthday. However, he never made it back to Mumbai. The actor has been missing since April 22, 2024. Further, Gurucharan Singh’s father filed a missing complaint in New Delhi’s Palam area.
Currently, the investigation into the matter is underway, and police are trying to trace the actor’s call records. Police aim to find the person with whom Singh had the last conversation. “Missing complaint was filed around 4 days back in Palam, South Delhi. Based on this, police are investigating the case. No FIR has been filed as of now. All investigation is being done based on the missing complaint,” police told News18. The insider further clarified that, contrary to rumours, Gurucharan was not seen inside the airport but rather near it.
“He (Gurucharan Singh Sodhi) was last spotted near Delhi airport. Police are now trying to get his call records to know who he last spoke to on call or via message,” the source added.
The missing report has been confirmed by Singh’s close friend Ms Soni and she added that she has been in touch with his family. Ms Soni revealed that Singh’s parents are worried about their son and have also filed a missing report. She said, “I tried to file one in Mumbai as well, however, since he hasn’t returned back a complaint cannot be filed here. Gurucharan ji’s health also hasn’t been keeping well for the last many days, so I am worried about that. Before leaving for Delhi, his blood pressure was high and he had undergone a few tests as well. He wasn’t even eating much before he left for Delhi. I really hope and pray that he is fine, and returns back safe and sound.”
Further, Gurucharan’s phone is also switched off. The news was also confirmed by Pinkvilla, as the portal reached out to Gurucharan Sngh’s family who also confirmed his missing news. His father as quoted by Pinkvilla said that he is hopeful that they will find his son. Meanwhile, according to reports, Gurucharan Singh quit Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2020, and the news came as a shock to many of his fans.
