Suspect in Stamford stabbing at bus stop caught in New York

STAMFORD — An arrest has been made in connection with the November stabbing of a 25-year-old man at a West Main Street bus stop, according to local police.

Olajuwon Raheem Clarke, 29, an unhoused man, was apprehended in New York and transported back to Connecticut Tuesday, according to police.

Police say Clarke stabbed the 25-year-old victim after the two men got into an argument, then fled the scene. The victim was transported to Stamford Hospital where he underwent emergency surgeries and is still recovering, police said.

Clarke is facing charges of first-degree assault, breach of peace and possession of a dangerous instrument, police said, and was in custody in Connecticut in lieu of $250,000 bail.
