Student Fails Quiz After Saying Men Can’t Get Pregnant: Report

A high school student allegedly failed a quiz for stating that men are unable to get pregnant and that only men have penises.

Students in the 10th grade at Chief Sealth International High School in Seattle, Washington, were given a quiz by their ethnic studies world history teacher containing true or false and multiple choice questions, one of the students’ mothers told Jason Rantz, the host of the “Jason Rantz Show” on KTTH Radio.

The unnamed student allegedly handed in his quiz called, “Understanding Gender vs. Sex” and answered two questions by saying that men are unable to get pregnant and that only men have penises, according to the outlet.

“I keep trying to wrap my head around how it is legal to teach inaccurate information and force students to answer against their beliefs or receive negative scores,” the student’s mother told the outlet.

Both questions on the quiz were reportedly true or false. Question four reportedly had the statement “all men have penises,” to which the student labeled it as true. The teacher reportedly marked the student’s answer incorrect.

Question seven on the quiz had the statement, “only women can get pregnant,” to which the student labeled it as being true. The teacher once again reportedly marked the student’s answer as being incorrect.

The boy’s mother told the outlet she worries about teachers in the school being allowed to bring their political beliefs into the classrooms and that her son, who is white, has reportedly had multiple teachers throw insults at him and tell him he is “f**ked and racist,” and a “product of the patriarchy that teaches young boys not to care about anything.”

Teachers have also reportedly told the boy, “he shouldn’t use the term straight to identify as because its offensive,” his mother told the outlet.

While the boy’s mother claimed her concerns expressed to the school were “met with silence,” Seattle Public Schools defended the quiz as being part of an “inclusive” environment.

“Seattle Public Schools is dedicated to establishing inclusive environments that allow exploration of contemporary issues, specifically examining the impacts of power systems such as racism and patriarchy,” a spokesperson told the outlet. “This commitment extends to fostering welcoming and inclusive settings where students, staff, and families have the freedom to express their authentic selves.”
