Julia Sebutinde was among 17 judges at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) who on Friday deliberated on interim measures South Africa sought against Israel, including immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
In what rattled Uganda and sparked mixed reactions on social media worldwide, she was the only member of the ICJ panel to vote against all six measures adopted by the court, including ordering Israel to act to prevent death, destruction and any acts of genocide in its military offensive in Gaza.
