Six stars who won their first Grammy Awards

The 66th annual Grammy Awards was indeed a night to remember! The evening filled with glitz and glamour saw a number of singers, songwriters and producers being celebrated and honoured for their contributions to the music industry. In addition to this the Grammys also saw a number of stars winning their first ever awards as the ceremony.

FIRST TIME GRAMMY WINNERS

In honour of music’s biggest night here are the celebs who won their first Grammy awards on Sunday, 4 February.

1. TYLA

South African artist Tyla won her first Grammy award at 22 years old. She won the Grammy for Best African Music Performance on Sunday. Over the past few months Tyla made her breakthrough with her hit song Water.

2. MILEY CYRUS

Singer and songwriter Miley Cyrus won her first Grammy award despite being nominated throughout her career. The singer won two Grammy awards, one for Record of the Year and another for Best Pop Solo Performance.

3. VICTORIA MONET

Victoria Monet won three Grammy awards. The singer and songwriter was awarded a Grammy for Best R&B Album, Best New Artist and Best Engineered Album.

4. COCO JONES

American singer and actress Coco Jones won her first Grammy for her 2022 single ICU. She won the award in the Best R&B performance category.

5. KAROL G

Colombian singer Karol G was awarded her first Grammy in the category for Best Musica Urbana Album.

6. BRANDY CLARK

After 17 nominations, country singer Brandly Clark has finally been awarded with a Grammy for the Best American Roots song category. This is her first Grammy award.
