Shekhar Suman is on his toes promoting the series. In a recent interview, Shekhar Suman spoke at length about the web series, his life, his career, and everything else. In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Shekhar Suman revealed that Rekha was a thorough professional on the sets and she did not forbid him from touching her in certain places in certain scenes unlike other actresses. He revealed that he is forever indebted to her. Shekhar Suman also shared about the Income Tax raid that took place on the first day of the shoot. He recalled that there was a massive IT raid at Rekha’s home on the first day of shooting and inspite of rushing back home, Rekha remained on the sets and continued shooting. She said ‘Let them do their job, I’ll stay back and do mine.’ Shekhar Suman was afraid that Rekha would rush home and the shoot will get cancelled, may be the film would be put on halt but none of that happened. Truly, Rekha proved to be the epitome of professionalism as described by Shekhar Suman. Heeramandi – The Diamond Bazaar is going to start streaming from May 1 on Netflix. The story revolves around the courtesans from Lahore in pre-Independence era. It stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, Sanjeeda Sheikh and more. Fardeen Khan is making his comeback to acting with a web series. The first look of the male stars has received a positive response from the audience. The trailer of Heeramandi makes fans believe that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is bringing his epic love for grandeur to the OTT space.
