Bollywood actor Shekhar Suman bared his soul, recounting the tumultuous chapters of his life. He spoke about the darkest moment of his life after the loss of his elder son Aayush at a tender age of ten. Suman in his recent interview to Sidharth Kannan described the profound devastation he felt, admitting to being “completely destroyed” by the tragedy. The loss left him feeling bereft of purpose, with no desire to continue living.

Suman mentioned in the interview, “Main bejaan ho gaya tha, ek dikhaave ki duniya thi jahan main hass muskura deta tha ya for economic necessity kyunki mujhe ghar chalana tha par mujhe jeene ki iccha nahi thi.”
Amidst the darkness, a glimmer of hope emerged in the form of Suman’s younger son, Adhyayan Suman. Tears of joy welled up in Suman’s eyes as he shared how Adhyayan’s acting talent garnered praise from renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It was a moment of redemption for Suman, who had previously lost interest in pursuing success and wealth.
In Bhansali’s upcoming historical drama series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, both Suman and Adhyayan play pivotal roles that showcase their acting prowess. Suman portrays the character of Zulfiqar Ahmed, while Adhyayan embodies the role of Zorawar Ali Khan. The series promises to transport audiences to a bygone era, exploring the intertwining lives of courtesans and their clients against the backdrop of India’s struggle for independence.
