Chennai: The highly anticipated ‘Thalaivar 171’ helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is a debut collaboration with Rajinikanth who is popularly referred to as ‘Thalaivar’. Months after announcing the title, Lokesh along with the producers are expected to reveal the title of the film. It is speculated that the pre-production of the film is about to complete. Thalaivar 171 Update: These Big Actors To Be Roped In
A news report published by ET Times claimed that Lokesh Kanagaraj has included, Mohan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Shah Rukh Khan although it is important to note that there has been no official announcement from the makers of the film. Adding more spice to the sequence, Mohan is speculated to play the role of an antagonist in Rajinikanth’s Thalaivar 171.
Rajini was last seen in his Aishwaryaa’s sports flick where he did a cameo that failed to capture the viewer’s attention. Although, his collaboration film with Kanagaraj adds more excitement to the show. While Rajini is known for his versatility, viewers can expect a new avatar of the superstar in Lokesh’s Cinematic Universe (LCU).
On the other hand, Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi who locked horns with Rajini in the film Petta, will be seen once again in a high-voltage drama with a touch of Kanagaraj’s direction. Sethupathi has worked in films like Master and Vikram where he proved why he’s the best at playing titular roles of an antagonist in the film that has impressed the audience. This time around, Vijay will be seen playing an ‘ethical’ character in Thalaivar’s 171, claimed by ET Times.
Adding more hype to the film, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is also expected to make a cameo in Thalaivar 171, however, it must be noted that the makers of the film haven’t made any official announcement regarding the same. These speculations of roping in the three big names in the film industry have sparked more curiosity for Lokesh’s film. Many are desperately waiting for the arrival of the teaser to reveal more information about Thalaivar 171.
