Boasting of an ensemble cast who have never come together before, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar has garnered ample curiosity. Marking the foray of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali into the web medium, the historical drama set against the backdrop of the pre-Independence era focusing on the world of courtesans, is expected to be mounted on a lavish scale. While we received a glimpse of the same in the teaser which was unveiled a few weeks ago, the makers have now unveiled the trailer which seems to have won the hearts of Bhansali’s Love & War co-stars Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt.

Alia Bhatt took to her social media handle to cheer for her Gangubai Kathiawadi director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali after the trailer was unveiled and she posted on her Instagram story, “Uff!!! Just magic!!!” and also added several shining star emojis. On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal too shared on the same platform along with the link of the trailer and added, “How stunning is this! The world building, the drama… top notch” and also added clap emojis.
Speaking of Heeramandi, the show stars Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sharmin Segal in the lead roles as the courtesans who rule the world of Heeramandi. Apart from them, the show features Shekhar Suman, Fardeen Khan, Adhyayan Suman, Taha Shah Badussha, as the Nawabs and love interest of these courtesans. It will premiere on Netflix on May 1.
On the other hand, the Raazi pair of Alia Bhatt and Vicky Bhatt will be reuniting for the next ambitious project of Sanjay Leela Bhansali titled Love & War which will also feature Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. While Alia and Ranbir will come together after the fantasy drama Brahmastra, the Kapoor boy will also be sharing screen space with his Sanju co-star Vicky Kaushal.
