THERE is a secret code Samsung owners can punch into their smartphone that instantly boosts their battery, according to a tech expert.
Prince Tech Official on TikTok revealed the code, which he says can “save” a Samsung device’s battery life in seconds.
The ‘magic’ code Prince Tech describes is this: *#9900#.
This code is to be dialled inside the app where you would input a phone number.
Once dialled, you will be taken to an advanced menu, known as the SysDump.
Inside the menu, you’ll want to scroll to the tab that says Batterystats Reset.
If you click that tab, a pop-up will appear at the bottom of your screen saying: Batterystats Reset done.
What the Batterystats Reset button does is re-calibrate your Android battery.
This is essential to keeping your phone battery healthy, and should be done every couple of months.
Prolonged usage of any device can cause its battery to deteriorate, resulting in reduced capacity compared to when it was new.

However, Android doesn’t consider this degradation, leading to inaccurate battery level readings on your device.
A mismatch between the actual battery capacity and the percentage shown on your device can result in your phone dying prematurely.
But calibrating the battery via the Batterystats Reset button can force the Android operating system to take this degradation into account and rectify the displayed battery percentage.
While battery calibration doesn’t exactly improve the battery life of your phone, it will help prevent unexpected shutdowns throughout the day – or a sudden decline at around 10 per cent battery.
