Ryanair flight forced to divert after ‘mass brawl’ breaks out on plane | Travel News | Travel

A massive brawl involving seven people broke out on a Ryanair flight forcing the plane to divert. The aircraft, bound for the Canary Islands from the UK, had to land in Portugal instead.

Portuguese police sources disclosed that seven passengers partook in the skirmish, ending with one person getting nicked.

The plane, run by Ireland’s budget Ryanair airline, took off from London Luton airport at 8am and was scheduled to touch down in Lanzarote by 12:15pm local time. It, however, diverted to Faro and landed there around 10:50am local time.

Ryanair has been contacted for a statement regarding the incident on flight FR3511. In the previous month, three Ryanair planes from the UK had to divert to Faro for different reasons.

There’s yet to be an official comment from Portuguese authorities but an insider hinted that “all if not all” the fighters were Brits.
