Making much noise is the ambitious cop universe which is being brought together by filmmaker Rohit Shetty. Comprising of films and web series, this universe aims to be a tribute to hardworking police authorities who work round-the-clock to save citizens from cold-hearted criminals. In a recent revelation that has fans buzzing with excitement, as the filmmaker was gearing up to promote Indian Police Force, he referred to Deepika Padukone and Shilpa Shetty Kundra as the ‘Jai-Veeru’ of his cop universe as the ladies are set to redefine women cop portrayals onscreen.

At a recent event Rohit Shetty was asked an intriguing question: who makes a better cop, Deepika Padukone, who will be introduced in his next as a cop, or Shilpa Shetty, who is a part of the series Indian Police Force? Without missing a beat, the filmmaker responded with a twinkle in his eye, “It’s like asking who was better in Sholay, Jai or Veeru. You can’t choose between Jai and Veeru. That’s how it is for me with these ladies – Shilpa and Deepika are the Jai and Veeru for me.” His response was followed by loud cheers from the audience, who were thrilled to know about how the filmmaker is gushing about their favorite leading ladies. The idea of having not one but two actresses step into these action-packed and fierce roles has definitely added to this anticipation.
Shilpa Shetty, who is known for her emotional roles majorly, is all set to unleash her badass side as a cop in Rohit Shetty’s highly anticipated Indian Police Force series. Her fans are definitely in for a treat as she transforms into a fierce law enforcer, ready to take on the toughest challenges.
On the other hand, Deepika Padukone will be introduced as police officer Shakti Shetty in Singham Again which stars an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
