SS Rajamouli’s epic period drama – RRR won the hearts of fans after its release. The movie features Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead role. The story revolves around a fearless revolutionary and a former British officer, once deeply connected. However, their life takes a U-turn when a major revelation has been made. The movie took Indian cinema to a global level and also won several awards. Now, two years after the release of the film, distributors of RRR in North India, Pen Studios, confirmed that the film is gearing up for re-release.
Taking to micro-blogging site X (formerly known as Twitter), Pen Movies shared a quirky post as they dropped a question for their followers asking their own questions with a witty twist, and said that RRR stands for “Re-Release.” The announcement created excitement among fans. Internet users were quick to take to the comment section and expressed their excitement. However, the official date of re-release is yet to be announced.
RRR gained a widespread acclaim at the time of its release. The song Naatu Naatu from the film also made headlines. The song also earned composer MM Keeravani an Oscar award for Best Original Score. Apart from Jr NTR, and Ram Charan, the movie also features an ensemble cast including Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani, Olivia Morris and many more in key roles.
SS Rajamouli is presently directing a forthcoming film starring Mahesh Babu, tentatively titled SSMB29. In its pre-production phase, the movie is touted as an action-adventure inspired by the story of Lord Hanuman.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan is gearing up for S. Shankar’s Telugu directorial debut, ‘Game Changer’, described as a political entertainer. The film also features Kiara Advani, Jayaram, SJ Suryah, and others in pivotal roles and is anticipated to be released later this year.
