Ram Rajya: Modi says BJP govt inspired by Lord Ram’s principles of governance

Prime Minister Narendra Modi proclaimed the advent of “Ram Rajya” in India during the inauguration of the nation’s largest affordable housing scheme for unorganised-sector workers in Maharashtra’s Solapur. The Prime Minister, inspired by the principles of governance set by Lord Ram, said that “Ram rajya” in its true sense has dawned in India.

Narendra Modi said that previous governments lacked niyat, niti, and nishta (intent, attitude, and dedication). He said the “garibi hatao” slogan had been a mere slogan for decades. He highlighted a past era when middlemen, referred to as ‘bicholiye,’ obstructed the flow of welfare benefits to the poor. The Prime Minister stated that these middlemen have been ousted, leading to the cessation of swindling. He further mentioned that in the last nine years, 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty.

“Our government, following the ideals of Prabhu Shri Ram, has been ensuring that good governance and honesty exist in the country. Bhagwan Ram taught us to honour the commitments we make…When I laid the foundation of the project five years ago, I promised to be here to hand over the keys. Modi’s guarantee means ‘guarantee puri hone ki guarantee’,” the PM said.

Narendra Modi handed over house keys to beneficiaries of the affordable housing scheme, mainly textile and beedi unit workers, marking a significant milestone in the Ray Nagar Co-operative Society Federation project, aiming to build 30,000 economically weaker section homes.

During the inauguration, the Prime Minister underscored the significance of honoring commitments, stating, “When I laid the foundation of the project five years ago, I promised to be here to hand over the keys. Modi’s guarantee means ‘guarantee puri hone ki guarantee’.” Critiquing previous governments, PM Modi asserted that they lacked “niyat, niti, and nishta” (intent, attitude, and dedication), citing the long-standing slogan of “garibi hatao” as unfulfilled.

Modi encouraged occupants to celebrate the consecration of Ayodhya’s Ram temple by lighting lamps in their new homes on Jan 22, he expressed his unwavering confidence in India’s trajectory. “It is my guarantee that India will be among the world’s top three economies during my next term of five years,” Modi said, urging people to dream big and assuring them that their dreams were his promises to fulfill.Discussing his upcoming participation in the consecration rituals in Ayodhya, PM Modi sought the blessings of the people, stating, “I will go to Ayodhya with your blessings. My rituals began in the Panchavati area of Nashik, where Bhagwan Ram spent some years. I don’t want any shortcomings to affect the ceremony and the divine feeling that has enveloped the country.”
