Rakhi has been charged with releasing a purportedly pornographic film with her former spouse, Adil Durrani.

Adil Durrani’s Allegations Against Rakhi Sawant
Adil Khan Durrani’s accusations against Rakhi Sawant span sections 500 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, dealing with defamation and accomplice involvement in criminal intent, respectively. Additionally, section 67A of the Information Technology Act is cited for publishing sexually explicit material electronically. The FIR alleges that Rakhi aired Adil’s video on a television talk show and subsequently shared it via WhatsApp and other digital platforms.

Rakhi Sawant’s legal team has maintained that it is difficult to identify any sexual content in the disputed film since it is ancient and of low quality, which is five years old. Rakhi’s medical issues, including the requirement for surgeries, have been mentioned as justifications for avoiding questioning while in custody. Given her prominence in the public eye, the demand for her phone as part of the inquiry is nevertheless controversial in spite of these considerations.
