The makers of the Rajinikanth starrer action thriller Vettaiyan revealed the film’s new poster and announced its release month on their social media platform.
South’s Thalaiva is all set to enthrall fans with his upcoming film Vettaiyan. The movie has created a massive buzz among the audience. Now, the makers of the film on Sunday shared an update about the movie with fans. A new poster of the movie was unveiled which featured Rajinikanth in full swag. Along with the poster, the makers also revealed the release date of the film.
Taking to Instagram, the official production house of the film Lyca Productions shared posters and wrote, “Kuri vechachu. VETTAIYAN is all set to take charge in cinemas this OCTOBER Get ready to chase down the prey!” In the poster, Rajinikanth can be seen posing with a gun.

As soon as the poster was shared online, it garnered massive attention from the fans. Netizens were quick to take to the comment section and poured in all the praise and love for their favourite actor. While one fan wrote, “POWER LAAA THALAIVAR FESTIVAL STARTS.” Another commented, “Petta ( look ) + Jailer ( look ) = Vettaiyan ( look )”
About Vettaiyan
Vettaiyan is helmed by TJ Gnanavel. Apart from Rajinikanth, the movie has an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, and Rohini. Further, the movie is being produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner of Lyca Productions. While SR Kathir is responsible for the cinematographer of the film, the editing department lies with Philomin Raj. The music in the film is given by Anirudh Ravichander.
Shared on social media by Lyca Productions, the title teaser starts with Rajinikanth reading a book about Subhas Chandra Bose. It hints at Rajinikanth possibly playing a professor, yet showcases scenes of him wielding a lathi and gun, reminiscent of his character in the recently released Jailer.
Rajinikanth was last seen in Jailer, which turned out to be a massive hit. The movie was helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar and starred Rajinikanth in the titular role. The movie also featured Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, and Mirnaa Menon in key roles. Also, Tamannaah Bhatia, Shiva Rajkumar and Mohanlal were seen in extended cameo roles.
