After Disney+ Hotstar and Dharmatic Entertainment unveiled the trailer of their much awaited series, Showtime, the show has been much in discussion, courtesy the subject of nepotism which seems to be on focus with money, business, glamour, relationships, lifestyle, and all the inside scoop on all of Bollywood’s best-kept secrets on the backdrop. What has also captured attention is the unique blend of stars who have come together for this show and among them are Emraan Hashmi and Rajeev Khandelwal.

Rajeev Khandelwal is not only known for his performances in films but also on television. Khandelwal, who rose to fame with the Star Plus show Kahiin Toh Hoga, is known for his intense acting chops whereas Emraan Hashmi who kicked off his career as a supporting actor is known for his immense versatility. Reflecting on their journey together, Khandelwal shares a glimpse into the experience that fueled their on-screen performances as he said, “We had a great time. I know him from the past. We have a common friend, so it was very, very enjoyable working with him. I like actors who are more secure in their space, and I think Emraan is pretty secure in his space. A very nice person, a very warm person. We would crack jokes and we would sit together and have a great, great time. I mean, that’s one thing that I miss about Showtime is being on the sets because we all really, really enjoyed every moment spent on the sets.”
Showtime is headlined by Emraan Hashmi and Mahima Makwana, along with Mouni Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Shriya Saran, Vishal Vashishtha, Neeraj Madhav, Vijay Raaz and Naseeruddin Shah in pivotal roles. Created by Sumit Roy, Showrunner and directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar with the screenplay written by Roy, Mithun Gangopadhyay and Lara Chandni, Showtime is releasing exclusively on March 8 on Disney+ Hotstar.
