Mumbai: Actor and producer Prithviraj Sukumaran has been grabbing the attention in the film industry after he portrayed Pralay in the upcoming Bollywood film, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan featuring, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff in the lead roles. Since the actor agreed to feature in the film, Prithviraj recalled the time when he decided to give up the film. But why? Read on to find more details.

Why Did Prithviraj Refused To Feature In BMCM?

According to Prithviraj, he was already busy shooting Salaar Cease Fire with Prashant Neel, it was then, that Sukumaran shared his opportunity to work in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Although Prithviraj likes to stick to his schedule, Prashant was the one who asked him to take the opportunity and take up the Bollywood film. During a conversation with News18 Showsha the Goat Life actor recalled, “While shooting for the climax of Salaar, I was talking to Prashanth about this nice and wonderful script that Ali Abbas Zafar narrated to me. I told him that I’ve been offered a role in the film but I won’t be able to do it because of date issues (sic).”

While Prashant played a major role in making up the mind of Prithviraj, the two spoke for more than 20 minutes and then came to a conclusion. Sukumaran said, “I spoke to Prashanth for about 20 minutes about the film and the script. That’s when he told me that it really looks like I want to do it. He said, ‘Knowing you, if you really let it go, you’ll feel rotten.’ And he was absolutely right. If I wasn’t a part of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, I would’ve been kicking myself after watching it (sic).”

Prithviraj Sukumaran stated that he usually sticks to one film at a time, following his customs the actor finally decided to break the barriers of his practice and went on to feature in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. He continued to shoot alongside Salaar and Karan Johar’s reportedly upcoming film Sarzameen. Prithviraj recalled, “Unfortunately, I was doing two films at the same time, which I usually never do. In the Malayalam industry, we don’t have the practise of doing multiple films together. When we start a film, we stick with it until we finish it and then move on to another one. But thankfully, things moved around a bit. Ali also adjusted a little which helped me do the film. I’m glad I could do it because it’s a very good film (sic).”

Prithviraj showed his commitment to his producers while shooting for multiple films simultaneously. The actor explained the situation where he traveled across countries to shoot a four-hour sequence. He traveled from “Kullu to Chandigarh, Chandigarh to Delhi, Delhi to Bombay, Bombay to Dubai, and Dubai to Edinburg.” This truly shows Prithviraj Sukumaran’s commitment and dedication towards the film.
