Real Housewives of Atlanta reality TV star Porsha Williams has spoken out following her filing for filed for divorce from her husband and nigerian-born business man Simon Guobadia. The couple were only married for 15-months.
PORSHA WILLIAMS FILES FOR DIVORCE
According to court documents filed by People magazine, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum filed for divorce from Guobadia on Thursday, 22 February in Atlanta.
The shocking news of the couples divorce comes after speculations of Simon’s US citizen status. Despite these rumours, an exclusive source told People magazine that Porsha and Simon’s divorce is “unrelated to recent allegations involving Simon’s past”.
The insider noted that the cause of their split is an “ongoing matter”.
Porsha and Simon tied the knot in November 2022 in a Nigerian traditional native law and custom ceremony followed by an American ceremony in Atlanta, Georgia. The couple announced their engagement in May 2021 after one month of dating.
“Yes we are crazy in love. I know it’s fast but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night”, Porsha shared in a post to her Instagram.
COUPLE BREAKS THEIR SILENCE
Since filling for divorce Porsa Williams has spoken out for the first time.
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star shared a post to Instagram, sharing her gratitude for all the support and prayer’s she has received thus far.
“Thank you for your prayer and support”, Porsha shared to her Instagram account.
Simon too has spoken out for the first time since news broke of the couples divorce.
The Nigerian-born entrepreneur shared how he still loves his wife, and that he will stop loving her once the divorce is final.
“Will stop loving my wife when divorce is final”, he shared.
