It will see a twist on the classic burger (which broke the internet across the pond a few years ago which everyone was trying to get a hold of) and include a fried chicken fillet that has been marinated in Popeye’s signature blend of herbs and spices before being covered with a hot Buffalo sauce. Let’s not forget the cool ranch and pickles too!
The Buffalo sauce is made up of a cayenne pepper hot sauce and butter.
Since it launched over in the US in 2022 fans have been raving about the menu item with fans calling it simply “perfect” and “fire.”
Other items which are set to join the limited-edition sandwich include the Buffalo Saucin’ Wings and a Louisiana BBQ Wrap.
It will see the classic chicken wings covered in the spicy Buffalo sauce, while the wrap will include two chicken tenders, BBQ sauce, and smoked cheese before being wrapped in a tortilla.
Prices for the 5 Buffalo Saucin’ Wings start from £4.99 and for a Louisiana BBQ Wrap from £5.50.
Dave Hoskins, head of food at Popeyes UK, said: “We are excited to announce the launch of Popeyes Buffalo Ranch Chicken Sandwich and Buffalo Saucin’ Wings.
“This marks the first time sauced wings have appeared on Popeyes’ restaurant and drive-thru menus in the UK following their success with fans in the US — plus a spicy new take on our famous Chicken Sandwich, which features our iconic shatter-crunch chicken.
“Both the sandwich and wings are made with our in-house developed sauces, created by our team following fan requests for more Popeyes flavour combos. We’re confident that both new additions will get the nation’s taste buds poppin’ — and we can’t wait for people to try them.”
