The POCO F6 5G (review) and POCO X6 Pro (review) are some of the best-performing smartphones in their respective price ranges and have already gone against one another in our performance comparison. While performance is certainly a crucial factor, it is also important that a smartphone comes with a resilient battery to sustain that performance. On that note, let’s compare the battery life of both smartphones to determine which device delivers better battery performance.
PCMark test
The PCMark test measures the time it takes for a smartphone to drop below 20 percent battery capacity from 100 percent. The POCO F6 registered 11 hours 42 minutes on the benchmark test, while the POCO X6 Pro registered 12 hours and 25 minutes on the test. The results suggest the POCO X6 Pro should offer better battery life.

Streaming test
For the streaming test, we played a 30-minute YouTube video on both devices to gauge their battery drop. Both the POCO F6 and X6 Pro registered a battery drop of 4 percent after the test. The video streaming test ends in a tie.

Gaming test
For the gaming test, we played COD: Mobile, Real Racing 3 and BGMI on both phones for 30 minutes each at similar graphical settings to measure their battery drain. At the end of the gaming session, the POCO F6 registered a total battery drain of 22 percent (7 percent average), while the POCO X6 Pro registered a battery drain of 19 percent (6 percent average). The POCO X6 Pro wins the gaming test.

Charging speed
The POCO F6 offers up to 90W fast charging support compared to the 67W fast charging support on the POCO X6 Pro. The former also features a charging boost feature, using which it takes only 32 minutes to recharge the POCO F6 from 20 to 100 percent battery capacity. The POCO X6 Pro, in comparison, takes 47 minutes to achieve the same. The POCO F6 offers better charging speed and wins the test.

Verdict
The POCO X6 Pro outperforms the POCO F6 in our battery comparison. Both phones excel in different aspects of battery performance, but the POCO X6 Pro offers a more resilient battery life, taking longer to drain compared to the POCO F6. If battery life is an important metric for you, the POCO X6 Pro is the superior smartphone.
The POCO F6’s battery is not as enduring as the POCO X6 Pro’s, but the difference is not huge, and the battery performance is still comparable. In addition, the POCO F6 takes only around 32 minutes to recharge, which can sway many potential buyers due to its convenience. The POCO F6 is a compelling choice if you can compromise a little on battery performance, thanks to its blazing fast charging speed.
