Philippines’ Marcos says maritime cooperation a cornerstones in Vietnam visit

(Reuters) – Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday said talks on maritime cooperation between his country and Vietnam would be one of the “cornerstones” that would be forged in a strategic partnership with its Southeast Asian neighbour.

Marcos left for Vietnam for a two-day state visit in Vietnam where he is expected to meet Hanoi’s top officials and work on agreements on coastguard cooperation and rice supply.
