Person hit by train on major line as ScotRail cancels services

A PERSON has been struck by a train on a major ScotRail line with late night rail services axed as a result.

Network Rail confirmed this evening that journeys had been cancelled after a casualty on the tracks.

The line between Dundee and Aberdeen has been closed while emergency services deal with the incident.

Crews raced to the scene at around 10.45pm this evening.

Bosses at ScotRail told travellers on social media that services Arbroath and Dundee after affected and that they are currently unable to run trains through this area.

And Network Rail said disruption between Dundee and Aberdeen expected until the end of service tonight.

Emergency crews are currently at the scene.
