Pankaj Tripathi says his film ‘Kadak Singh’ deals with similar relationship like in Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal; but in a different manner

After the success of ‘OMG 2’ and ‘Fukrey’, Pankaj Tripathi has been in news for his film ‘Kadak Singh’ which revolves around the father-daughter relationship. The actor is seen in an all-new avatar in this one and has won hearts with his performance. The movie also stars Sanjana Sanghi. In a recent interview, Pankaj has drawn parellels between Kadak Singh and Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal‘.
Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’ revolves around a father-son relationship and how a son could go to any extend of violence to take revenge for his father. ‘Kadak Singh’ also talks about a father’s bonding with his daughter. Pankaj said during a chat with DNA, that ‘Kadak Singh’ also shows a similar relationship like the one in ‘Animal’, yet it’s very different. It’s like north pole and south pole. The audience exists for both, says Pankaj.
In the same interview, Tripathi spoke about how OTT has evolved and made the scope of cinema much larger. For instance, one couldn’t imagine discussing sex education in the film earlier but ‘OMG 2’ dealt with that subject.
Tripathi has been in the industry for over two decades but since the last few years, he’s gotten more recognition and the kind of work which he deserves. However, the actor has never felt even now that he’s arrived. He said that he just likes to do his work with all honesty and sincerity and hard work in every project.
‘Kadak Singh’ is directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury who had made Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Keerti Kulhari starrer ‘Pink’.
