Fellow passengers said they were left “in bits” after the rammy broke out between a big group and violent scenes erupted.

They described it as the “scariest flight I’ve ever been on” after bottles were thrown at other holidaygoers.

It is the second brawl to break out on the same route in just six days after a drunken fight took place on Monday last week.

The chaotic scenes forced pilots to divert the plane and make an emergency landing in Porto, Portugal.

A member of the crew managed to get in touch with Spanish police before landing at the airport.

As a result, officers were waiting on the tarmac to haul off the “disruptive” passengers.

A shaken passenger took to social media as the plane touched down to share what happened, according to the Scottish Daily Express.

They said that the group were “out of control” before saying it was the “scariest flight I’ve ever been on”.

They added: “Big group on flight, fights broke out, bottles throw, women almost injured. Get this little s**t off the plane… kids crying, everyone in bits….

“Currently waiting for the police to take some people off the plane then hopefully get to Tenerife.

“Luckily everyone is okay at the moment.”

The chaos kicked off just two hours after the plane left Edinburgh Airport yesterday afternoon.

Ryanair confirmed that the passengers were removed, and the plane continued its journey to Tenerife.

A spokesperson told the Scottish Sun: “This flight from Edinburgh to Tenerife (25 Feb) diverted to Porto when a small number of passengers became disruptive onboard.

“Crews called ahead for police assistance and the aircraft was met by local police upon arrival who removed these passengers before this flight continued to Tenerife.

“This is now a matter for local police.”

It comes after ‘drunk’ yobs were hauled off a Ryanair plane by Spanish cops last week.

Three thugs were filmed fighting each other in the terrifying mid-air brawl on the same flight route.

A video shared online shows two men, who are understood to be brothers, and a woman can be seen shouting at each other.

The man in the blue top was filmed storming up the aisle of the plane and squaring up to the second man in the grey.

They both appeared to shout at anyone who tried to intervene and stop them.

The blonde woman at the front of the plane was also filmed swearing at other passengers and hitting the man in the grey.

Cabin crew tried to break up the fight and ordered the trio to take their seats.

However, they took no notice of the orders and continued to scream at each other and other terrified passengers.

One passenger said that the woman was acting like a “wild animal” as she continued to shout abuse for the majority of the flight.
