Heeramandi Trailer Reactions: The trailer of the upcoming web series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ was unveiled on Thursday, April 9. The series marks the OTT debut of Indian auteur Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The trailer starts with a compelling picture of pre-independence India bringing together an ensemble cast. The first frame is taken by Richa Chadha who says ‘Sirf ghungroo pehnne se aurat tawaif nahi banjati, din ke aur raat ke saare hunar seekhne padte hain’ (A woman who wears ankle bells is not a courtesan, she should know everything that happens in day and night). The dialogues are so powerful that the netizens have already declared it a superhit. The scheming Mallikajaan (Manisha Koirala) rules over an elite house of courtesans – but a new rival threatens her reign as rebellion brews in British-ruled India.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali showcases beautiful canvas and larger-than-life sets. There is a signature Bhansali production design coupled with intriguing performances by its lead cast. The series also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh.
