The events in the documentary take place in 1933, years before the atomic bomb was dropped on Japan’s Hiroshima. Simply put, all of this happened between the events in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer movie.

Albert Einstein was in Germany and about to get prosecuted during this time. The Nazis would do anything to assassinate him. However, he flew away and settled in Norfolk, away from everything and everyone. The documentary depicts all the troubles and difficulties the physicists had to deal with. The docufilm has used several unseen archival footage where Einstein shares everything that happened to him. The documentary also focuses on the extreme rise in the terror of Hitler and the Nazi establishment, which led the scientist to believe that they were also building their atomic weapons. The makers have also hired an actor to help us better understand Albert and his mindset.

Actor Aidan McArdle plays Albert Einstein in the Netflix docufilm. The actor is receiving praise for his portrayal. The Irish actor was earlier seen in Ella Enchanted, Sleeping Murder, The Borderlands, etc.
