NEET MDS 2024 Postponement Latest Update: After receiving countless pleas, letters, and requests, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has finally released an important notice for the NEET MDS 2024 aspirants. According to the official notice, NBEMS has decided to extend the deadline for the internship completion cut-off date for NEET-MDS 2024 from March 31 to June 30, 2024. However, there is no change in the examination schedule. The NEET-MDS 2024 will be conducted as per the pre-notified schedule on March 18, 2024. Thus, NEET MDS 2024 examination will not be postponed until July.
“Pursuant to the directions of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Govt. of India vide its letter no. V.12025/158/2022-DE dated 07.03.2024, the cut-off date for completion of internship has been extended to 30th June 2024 for the purpose of eligibility for NEET-MDS 2024,” NBEMS in an official notice said.
NEET MDS Registration Window Reopens March 9
NBEMS will once again open the NEET MDS 2024 registration window. Candidates can fill up the NEET MDS application form between March 9 (10 AM onwards) to March 11, 2024 (till 11:55 PM). Such candidates shall be able to choose their preferred state for taking the examination. NBEMS shall allocate them the test city within the state chosen or in a nearby state as per availability only.
NEET MDS 2024 to be conducted as per the pre-notified schedule
Once again, let’s remind our aspirants that the NEET-MDS 2024 will be conducted as per the pre-notified schedule on March 18, 2024. No edit window will be available to the candidates who will submit their applications during the aforesaid online registration window. Candidates are advised to exercise caution while filling in their applications to avoid any errors as there shall be no opportunity later to edit/modify/change any information submitted.

Soon after this notification was published on the website, the chorus for postponing the NEET MDS examination grew louder.
